Catholic Apostolate Center Releases New Version of Website in Spanish
WASHINGTON, DC - As the Catholic Church continues to grow in Spanish speaking areas around the globe, so too must the organizations who serve the faithful. The Catholic Apostolate Center has released a new version of their website entirely in Spanish. This version of the website features many of the Center's most popular resources with additional specialized ones to come. The website is accessible at www.CentrodelApostoladoCatolico.org
This initiative is aimed at providing tools and resources for leaders in ministry and all active Catholics to help them be more deeply formed and live as missionary disciples. Much of the translation and re-tooling of the resources was completed by José Antonio Varela-Vidal and Yovany Quintana, both staff members of the Center based in Lima, Peru. They have already begun to spread the word about this new initiative with leaders in Latin America, the United States, and Canada.
"Today, media around the world has grown strategically. This website is one of the tools that will help active Catholics enrich their faith, and will propel everyone to a make a commitment to work with Church and society," says José Antonio Varela-Vidal, International Program Coordinator.
Visits by staff to various countries have also served to inform the Center about various pastoral realities, so that the Center can respond to the needs of the local Church and create resources that assist all.
Through this specialized website, the Center offers resources on catechesis, Catholic social teaching, marriage and the family, vocational discernment, collaboration in ministry, and evangelization. On these pages, you can find links to resources from the Holy See, Bishops' conferences in the United States and Latin America, and Catholic academic institutions and organizations.
Likewise, on the Ad Infinitum blog, you will find reflections on different areas of our faith, suggestions on how to live life as an apostle, receive lessons from the Saints, and other tools that encourage us to be in constant spiritual renewal. Overall, the new site contains diverse and engaging material in Spanish generously provided by Catholic organizations and universities.
Over time, the Center will produce additional resources including webinars, videos, podcasts in collaboration with Church leaders in Latin America, the United States, and Canada.
According to Center Director, Fr. Frank Donio, S.A.C., "This new website in Spanish is part of the continued service of the Catholic Apostolate Center to the current needs of the Church, in its effort to form and send missionary disciples as Pope Francis teaches or apostles as St. Vincent Pallotti, the patron of the Catholic Apostolate Center taught."
